Hydraulic slideout

can I manually operate the hydraulic slideout on my 1997 adventurer? I need to extent it, not retract

I think you first have to release the gear motor, like putting it in neutral. I don't know how on your particular model. My gear motors have a lever that does it. The it's a matter on hand cranking the slide gears out, one side at a time, a couple of inches at a time.
