How many 2016/2017 Journeys/Meridians built"

Am considering a 2016-2017 Meridian or Journey, (36 ft) but they appear not to be many listed in the various dealerships. Am wondering how many were built during those years.

Are they a relatively trouble-free coach, or just a few built?

Actual production numbers are not released. But, those years were the best years for those models. But 2017 saw production stopped. Not because of any problems with those models, but due to a decision by Winnebago Corporate to move diesel Class A motor home production from Iowa to Oregon.

That entire plan was started and failed. The 2020 Horizon model was built there in fairly large numbers but the plan to make such a dramatic move proved to be too difficult. So, Winnebago closed the Oregon plant 2-years later and moved back to Iowa. Once back in Iowa they had to build and staff a whole new motorhome factory which took years. As a result there were no Journey motorhomes built from approximately mid 2017 until 2022 when two new redesigned Journey models were introduced. These new Journey motorhomes are just now starting to trickle out to dealers.

There may be few available but if you can find one it probably is a very well-built RV.

It’s rumored that Winnebago lost as much as $50,000,000 with this failed move.
