Gas prices dropping!

We're seeing some real drops in gas prices here in Central SC! WooWoo!

Price today at Sams Club was $3.69 for regular and $4.29 for premium. That's very good news for the rv world. I'm taking the coach up tomorrow for a fill up. I didn't gas up after my last trip hoping the prices would drop. Looks like I was right this time.

I hope everyone is seeing similar price drops across the country!

It's around $4.10 for regular in Central Florida. I am still waiting to fill home generator gas cans for hurricane season.

$3.45 between San Antonio & Houston

$3.74 is cheapest I have seen in DFW.

I don't care what anyone says, it just blows my mind that some people are paying twice as much for the same RV I bought 3 1/2 years ago

In a way I am mad at Winnebago, because if I hated my RV; I could sell and make a very nice profit

I was able to fill up for about $4.20/gallon of Diesel using my TSD Logistics card a few days ago, that was huge.

It's sad but I got excited about finding it for 5.39 yesterday (California). Most places still near 6.00 and over. Planning trip to Mammoth in two weeks and there it's over 7.00 (crying).

$4.65 here in NJ and I'm embarrassed to say I'm happy about it given where we were a few weeks ago. Economic indicators seem to be signaling that we're headed lower still (high inflation, Fed set for another bruiser of a rate hike at the end of the month, recession fears).

Here are the latest inflation numbers using John Williams' Shadowstats inflation calculator ...
... the annual inflation rate June 2021 to June 2022 (and the percent change since last month):
...... CPI-U = 9% (up ½%)
...... 1980 Standard = 17¼% (up ½%)
... the "most recent month" projection for the next year using the one month increase from May 2022 to June 2022:
...... CPI-U = 1.37% × 12 = 16½% (up 3¼%)
...... 1980 Standard = 2.71% × 12 = 32½% (up 17½%)

It should be noted that in the month of June, the Dollar Index rose from about 102 to 108, which has the effect of reducing the price of things we import.

Just got back from a trip to colo last week. Gas was anywhere from $4,50 in az and nm to over $5.00 in southern colorado. So it is still a crap shoot on how prices are. Most I paid for 13 gals was $58 in NM at a valero.

It's a shame that diesel is not really dropping when over 76% of the commercial vehicles in the US are diesel powered. Lower gasoline prices aren't going to help food costs.

Cheaper to eat money than food

At least the savings on gas makes it easier for those that do buy real food.

Everything is a hot mess, but just glad that it is not getting worse than what it was a few weeks ago.

In little ole Delaware gas is averaging about $4.50. That was last week. It may be lower when we get back from a trip to Pa.

Lowest I've seen here north of San Antonio is 4.05 for regular. I did see one 3.95 for cash and 4.07 for credit. It has been dropping daily.

Gas prices dropping

Just yesterday, July 16, gas in North Carolina was $4.17. A mile across the border in Pageland, South Carolina, regular gas was $3.85. It’s getting better.

Amazingly if we all patronized the lower gas outlets even if it means driving a few extra miles, the prices would fall even faster. Telemarketing calls work because there are enough people that purchase to support the practice that is so painful for others.

I drained fuel out of my Class A to take my summer vacation in my car. Appears that was the right choice! Here in SW Wyoming regular was $4.92, now down to $4.85. (Keep going, you are headed in the right direction LOL). [Moderator Edit]
