On a recent trip to California I had difficulty filling my gas tank with their new recovery system. I dont have enough room to maneuver the nozzle in my gas fill area. I have a 2007 Winnebago Voyage Class A. Does anyone have this problem also and is their a modification for this? Thank you
I don't have that problem with my Sunstar, but you can solve it by pulling the up on the recovery system. It thinks its engaged and allows you to fill the tank. That's what I do to fill a container for the lawnmower.

Thanks but that doesnt work for me as a solo female traveler I cannot use 2 hands to hold it back AND pump the gas, I was hoping maybe there was an adapter or something....might just have to avoid California
I found a small roll of decorative duct tape with a center hole just large enough for the nozzle to slip through. I slide it over the nozzle before filling. The roll is thick enough to push back the boot but still allows the end to go into the fill pipe. Happy Travels, Say hi to Laura and Harley for me.

Avoid California, you will be happier and save money not to mention extra wear and tear from the roads.
I have been using a small 1/2 a roll of black electric tape. Slip in on the nozzle an pump your fuel! Remember to keep it when done. An YES the vapor recover nozzle in Calif are difficult to deal with for some of our Winny models. Mine included!
