I'm in the process of purchasing a 36 Journey from out of state and I'm woundering what kind of dealer service I can expect if I have a warranty issue. Thanks.

I think you will get more appropriate response to this in the Winnebago Owners forum, so I am moving your query there.

In general, though, the warranty is from Winnebago and good at any dealer. Whether a dealer elsewhere will give you second-class priority depends on the particular dealer. Some go out of their way to help travelers and some seem to be uninterested in servicing anybody at all. It's a grab bag.

Journey, Congratulations.
Many local dealers will not help you if you did not buy from them or they will put you "on the list" depending what the problem is. Do a search and you will find many good threads on this subject. Try Warranty, Service, Dealers, etc. Most folks who buy away from home, get the best price they can and then return to the factory in Iowa for service. They seem to like this...Good Miles, Happy New Year and

I currently have my '04 Adventurer at the dealer from which I purchased it. I can describe the experience in one word – NIGHTMARE

DO NOT take-in your rig for service during any holiday period

It's still there after 20 days for very minor warranty work. I'm afraid to name the dealer (So Cal) until I get it back

I have an excellent Dealer. But if you buy it there you get service. One month wait. If you pay cash for repairs. wait is about the same. If you bought it somewhere else and live in this area. Good luck on service. A bad way to do Business. Car dealers don't work that way. I think the manufacture needs to correct this problem.

I purchased a one year old Journey DL with 10,000 miles. When I call the Winnebago factory they are very attentive and customer oriented however when I have taken it to local dealers (three different ones) it has been a nightmare. The local dealers are so bad that I will probably not purchase another Winnebago.

My first motorhome was a Born Free their service after the sale was superb. Winnebago builds a good product however its dealer network is disgraceful!

Good luck.
