Ken L., I have to agree it is a steep price tag to swallow. I bought my Sunstar last January. I just got back from a deployment to Afghanistan and my biggest motivation was the 3 week road trip with the family. Didn't once think about gas prices while I was overseas and my only thought during the trip was "geez, I wish these gas pumps wouldn't shutoff at $75". I guess I might have stood at too many ceremonies watching coffins with young kids being loaded on to a plane to think, "I will wait until gas is cheap to make this trip". Might seem corny but life is short. Whatever you do get out there and see our country. I never really appreciated it until I went overseas.

When you say 'depreciating investment' regarding RV ownership, it should be typed 'DEPRECIATING INVESTMENT' because the loss in value is huge and if financed long-term, the annual depreciation probably doesn't keep up with the principle part of the payment. I'm not sure I would even use the word 'investment'; an investment to me is something that has the potential to go up in value and no way that applies to an RV. An RV to me is more like a never-ending expenditure...

Buy your new motorhome and enjoy the traveling, camping and lifestyle that it provides and try not to think of the D-word...

You say Kristy decided to be a full time mom. What would you do if you were escorted from your desk to the door and told to come back after 4PM to collect you personal effects. Would you think you had just made a decision to work at a better location, HOME!
It was NOT her decision first.
If she is being replaced by another person, they will have big shoes to fill.

Now is the time for Winnebago to really put the push on for the WIT club. As members we are their best advertisment about why to spend the money and buy a motorhome. I think though they (the powers that be) really don't have a clue just how beneficial this club is to Winnebago. We know lots of people that bought another Winnbago product because of their friendships in the club and yes DH and I are in that category.
