Country Coach\Winnebago in Oregon

So is Winnebago going to start building Winne's in Oregon or just Country Coach models and no matter which ones they build when are they going to start?
Does anyone out there have a clue???

From what I read in connection to the original announcement, they plan to move all diesel pusher production to the Oregon facility.

i am pretty sure that they are doing warranty and support for DPs in Oregon as well. Does anyone know if you can schedule repairs there yet?

There are other posters over the last week who are reporting they have already received service or are scheduled soon, and that WBGO coaches are being built. You can confirm same by calling the Junction City factory.

From what I heard at the initial buy out of CC is that Winnebago also purchased another empty RV plant adjacent to the CC plant and has plans to ship production to this other plant in the near future of the CC line.

We are scheduled in October for repairs.

Ed: What did you have done and how was the quality of the repairs?

Actually it was a part of the original CC plant and I think Premier bought it when CC when broke. The present Premier setup was also part of the CC plant Gary and Louie bought some years ago.

We took the plant tour in Forrest City while attending the GNR in July. Our tour guide said that at that time Winnebago was shipping one truckload of parts each week. As production increases the amount of parts being shipped would increase.

I'm guessing that suppliers will ship directly to Junction City.

We just finished up a service visit at the Winne/CC facility in Junction City on 9/26 - 9/28. The service folks are great. This was our second visit there, the first in 2014. My service tech told me they were really busy and were seeing as many Winnebago coaches in for service as they were Country Coaches.

I snooped around and could count 4 or 5 Winnebago Grand Tours in various stages of production. The last day there we saw one being pulled into the paint bay. It was obvious they are still installing equipment for full scale production. My tech told me they are installing some steel (windshield framing) on the Freightliner chassis in Forest City, IA, then shipping the chassis to Junction City for the rest of the assembly. That will change when they are fully tooled in JC.

Overall, it was obvious to see the increase in activity there from our visit in 2014. The service manager told me since they were maxing out on the number of spaces for customers waiting for service (parking spots with electric), they were lobbying with the city for use of a municipal RV park with full hook up sites. Apparently that park in now closed but Winnebago wants to re-open it.

We traded in our 2004 Sightseer for a 2017 Forza 36G at the WIT rally. Just got home from a 6000 mile (give or take a few) shakedown run.

While in Reno both of our MaxxAir exhaust fans died within 24 hours of each other. I called WCC in Junction City and asked if I could stop in for warranty repair of the fans. We made these two videos, the first is arriving at WCC and the second is a look at the current service/repair bays.

Arriving: https://youtu.be/jBFRx-t-lWQ

Service/Repair Bays: https://youtu.be/XMfB7IbB9vM

We arrived on Monday, had the service call on Wednesday, then waited 7 days for parts. On day 8 the techs installed 2 new fans & we were on our way.

Great videos of you and your family. Gives some insight into what to expect, but I imagine there will be greater signs of life as; 1. it becomes better known, 2. has more parts in stock.
It sure is nice for the Western U.S. to have such a facility, and thanks again for sharing (the cooking smelled fabulous).
