Alarm

We have a loud high pitch sound in our C Class. It’s parked, unplugged. Could it be the carbon monoxide detector?

What sort of sound is it emitting? Our Carbon Monoxide detector is mounted center coach near the ground. The sound is a loud "beep" about evert 3 seconds. There is a mute button but that only mutes for a short period of time. It's a square box mounted low in the wall and should have a small light on it. If yours is going off there will likely be a red light (green normally). They have a life expectancy of about 5 years so if you have an RV that is a bit older and have never replaced it the time may be here to do so. It's an easy DIY fix and replacements are available in a multitude of places but in the current environment Amazon may be your friend.

There are a couple wires in the back, you may want to detach them (cap the wire to the RV after doing this). This is ASSUMING that you are not staying in the RV.
