A small Warning ! - Changing Trans Fluid
Refill not full change! 53k miles.
I made an almost BIG mistake by NOT looking and doing a quick measure of my Allison 2100mh trans sump, did not note if a std/shallow/2" sump (assumed std !!) pan OR a 'deep' 4" sump - note that std filter is actually shorter/above a 4" sump pan.
But luckily had enuf new trans fluid to do refill in my DEEP 4" sump - the diff is 7.5qts vs 10.5qts !!
Had 2 new gals and most of a 3rd so was able to squeak by, maybe even a bit too much - will check after a short drive.
So a Warning - check your sump size (easy just use index finger - each joint ~1") if mo than 2" then deep !!
that way you can buy enuf expensive trans fluid but not too much and not risk things !
