2015 Winnebago Tour Oustside Kitchen

I have had some good replies from other threads but I'm going to ask again here. Has anyone removed the outside kitchen on a Winnebago Tour 42qd or similar? I'd like to use the space as storage as we would never use the outside kitchen. Thanks.

I've seen a few people remove them, as I have seen them on Craigslist. Should not be hard to do. I don't believe there is water to it, just electric.

I have a CF80 Dometic freezer/cooler in that space on a morryde slide out tray. If I was pinched for room, I wouldn't need that either but it's nice to keep the beverages outside.

Had a call from a previous post. Stated that there are two L brackets when you open the door to the refrigerator. Remove them and it will slide out. Four bolts inside for rest of it and then replace the four bolts for water prevention.

No water connection but I do have a quick disconnect on the outside next to the bay.

Done-did-it!

Removed the refrigerator first, then undid the bolts holding the slide in and removed the slide in. Then removed the 4 bolts holding the slide and reinstalled to keep water out.

Nice storage compartment.

Should be able to sell it maybe to another Tour/Ellipse owner, or maybe even the Meridian/Journey.

Thinking of building a frame for it on the patio here at the S&B.

I know this is an old thread but I do have an update. Sometime in the past 6 or so months I did move the kitchen to the patio so it is now an outside kitchen again.

I used 2 x 12 treated lumber to build a frame for the kitchen to sit on. In that frame I added 3 inch wheels. The combination of the 2 x 12 plus 3 inch gave the top of the kitchen just the right height. The induction top burner is a nice add on when simmering BBQ sauce and other items for use on the grill. The refrigerator was nice for awhile but it quit, but I'm going to replace it with some other one...one of these days.

Stay tuned. Maybe next year.
