Anyone have any info on 2006 Winnie pushers? I gather there will be a new model that will fit between the Journey and Vectra. I think that is badly needed since the CCC in current Journey's is a bit light (too light for us). The Vectra is overpriced (in Canada) so something in between would be welcome - especially if it has better CCC and 4 slides.

We would like something with 4 slides and have found an HR Endeavor to have what we want at a price of over $50k Cdn less than a Vectra. We would like to be able to stay with Winnie (devil you know vs devil you don't know and all that stuff.....) but when they don't have anything on the shelf you want, it doesn't make any sense.

So, I'd love to hear what is coming. 2006 Journeys are already on dealer lots. Unfortunately the Winnie site doesn't have any 2006 info on DPs yet.

Thanks

Don

ps. We looked at a 2003 Freedom last week. Many nice features but we overall we didn't like it (and it was way overpriced). Dealer bought it from a customer (only 5000 miles on it) for $225k Cdn and now wants $299k with special web site price of $279k. Not a bad markup. Anyway, there is a story that goes something like this:

The guys in the factory play football.
The guys in the office play baseball.
Middle management plays tennis.
Top executives play golf.

You will note that the higher up you go the smaller their balls.

Well, the Freedom only had a 2 burner stove top.
Funny how at the bottom you get 3 burners and an oven. Then just three burners. Then just two burners. We've even seen one MCI based MH that had NO burners (a slide out grill in the basement).

So, the higher up you go with MHs the fewer the burners.

I'm amazed that no one has any info on 06 DPs from Winnie at this time.

Winnebago will be coming out with a model called the "TOUR". It will be between the Journey and the Vectra, but you won't see it until after the dealers see it in August. It looks more like a Vectra with less standard equipment. One thing both the Tour and the Vectra have are higher ceilings, they will go from 6 foot 8 inches to 7 foot 2 inches.

Thanks Warren. It will be interesting to see how the Tour is priced. I just recently started wondering about Journey pricing. We looked at a 39K but could not consider it due to limited CCC (now corrected as they added 1500 lbs to the rear axle capacity as of April 1). It was, however, priced higher than a 05 Endeavor on the lot that seemed to us to be a better buy (4 slides, heavier chassis, 400 ISL, slide out gennie, for starters)and that made me wonder if Winnie prices hadn't gone up too much between 04 and 05. Mind you, Canadian pricing may be a different ball game than US pricing.
