2002 Itasca Horizon 32' Cummins, Buy???

We are looking pretty seriously at a 2002 Itasca Horizon with the 300 hp ISB 5.9 Cummins and a 6 speed Allison tranny. I am somewhat bound to a 32' (which I hardly ever see for sale) due to storage space.
This one is a Horizon model and looks pristine all the way around. Real leather, real cherry wood, a couple of slides. Garage kept and it shows.

The big question mark I have is that there is 110,000 on the odometer. Am I thinking that could be OK on this diesel, or is that mileage something to be concerned about? It is currently priced right at NADA high retail.

Appreciate any input you may have.

I guess you already made a decision by now but here's my two cents. When we purchases we faced the same dilemma. Everything in my budget range was older and higher mileage.

We finally found a 2003 one owner Journey 32T with the same 5.9 Cummins you describe. It had 121,000 miles on it. The paint and interior was impeccable. It does leak some oil but it runs like a champ. If it was a gas engine I would say steer away from it. With a diesel- no worries. Some of our diesel trucks at my work place have well over 1 million miles without a rebuild.

You have probably bought already, but here's my 2 cents worth.
This past October I purchased a 2002 Itasca Horizon 34' Motor home, with a Caterpillar 330 HP diesel and Allison 6 speed. It had only 55,459 miles and I bought it for $33k.
I have since run about 3,000 miles with it and so far so good!
It replaced my 39 foot 1998 Monaco Dynasty Duke with a Cummins and Allison 6 speed, which had 167,000 miles and was still running great.z
I like the two slides and the shorter wheelbase on the Horizon.
Also, the Horizon's ride is somewhat smoother than the Monaco.

We did buy the Itasca and it runs awesome.

Two issues have been frustrating. One is fixed with a new electrical inverter.

The second issue is a hydraulic cylinder leak on the dining room slide right behind the drivers seat. It is the rear cylinder located on the actual slide.
Took it to a dealer to fix the leak. Waited/still waiting 12 weeks foHWH to supposedly build one of these for replacement (wait, wait, call, call, wait).
I finally took it to a local truck repair shop and they are hesitant to do the work as they aren't quite sure how to access the cylinder. They were going to send it out to be rebuilt.
Now I am kind of stuck and am looking for a solution. My only answer now is to go back to the RV shop and have them remove and then try and get it rebuilt.
My rig is a 2002 Itasca Horizon 32'.
Any suggestions?

I think, but am not positive, that any hydraulic shop that works on construction equipment would be able to repair/rebuild the jack IF you could remove the jack and take it to them.

I don’t know this for a fact, but have been told by others that this is true. Do you know if new seals are available for your jack?

See that you are in MN. I have had excellent work done the last three times on our 2005 Journey by ABC Bus company in Faribault MN as they also work on motorhomes (they even know how to work on the basement air conditioner). Give Kendra a call to see if they can assist. They usually can get me in a week or so after i contact them
