I guess I have been a little board. It has been wet and dismal here in Chehalis, Washington. When we parked at 1000 Trails near Chehalis I set up the new video camera to catch the set up process. Pretty exciting stuff

Neat! I could tell that:

a) your site wasn't very level
b) you were either very lucky for the Datastorm dish line-of-sight, or you did your homework
c) you have a great cat - there is no way we would let one of our two out the door. This one hates to travel and would probably chance having to catch its own food to traveling

John, you are correct on all points. I think the spot we got is one of only a handful if that, that would allow for the motosat to work in this campground. We did a lap with our toad and found this spot empty. I still do carry our tripod setup just in case.

The site has a pretty good slope to it but my camera was a bit askew, compounding the off level look.

Sadie has been a great traveler, she will find a little mole hole and sit there for hours waiting for something to come out.

Have you been here?

Jim

Wow, can't wait for the sequel: "Jim leaves camp".

Did you buy a camera mount for your Polaris RZR? I'm expecting to see some action shots now. Mt Rainer isn't far away, maybe you can find some logging roads to rid your boredom.

Wish we could trade you some of this record heat & humidity in Eastern Virginia for some cool mountain rain.

Bill, I have already fabricated a mount for my mtn bike, as soon as the sun comes out I will make a mount for the atv.

A happy medium for the weather exchange would be great!

Say hi to Marie.

Jim,

I remember Chehalis well! We were there last August and luckily found a hole in the foliage for our DirecTV dish. There was a guy near one of the bath houses that had about 100' of coax run through the trees from his tripod dish to the MH.

ding-a-ling, I am seeing what you saw, people have coax strung across the road here and there. There are group clusters where several people have all types of dishes setup in one area.

Safe Travels
