Has anyone come up with a way to secure items in that 8" high Pass Through storage area on the 2008 39W?

My ingenuity is eluding me!!! (Actually I'm just dumb)

Thanks.

There is a small company called Campers Friend that sells universal storage "things" to hold stuff against the sidewalls ceiling and floors in the compartments try campersfriend.com (I think) or do a global search for campers friend

GG1,
Thanks for the site. Still looking for some more suggestions.

I did get an idea off of that site. I might try some of those 3M stick on hooks and use bungee cords. I'll report back at some later time how they worked.

Any other ideas out there?

I too have been trying different ideas for the same problem. I think screw eyes and bungee cords are the answer but not sure where and how to locate the screw eyes.

Wayne,
I'm hesitant to put screw eyes into the plastic "box." That's why I'm thinking of the 3M sticky things that you can pick up at Wally-world or any hardware store. I'm going to pick some up tomorrow and put a stress test on them overnight. (If I remember)

Surely someone has come up with some good ideas!

I've been dreaming about attaching "D" rings like you use to tie loads down in a trailer on either side at the top(using short #10 wood screws) and then using 1" nylon tie down straps to hold our bikes and my 8' ladder in place up there. I think it would be easier to throw the strap hook over than fish the bungee cord over. I figure on removing one or both of the bike pedals and turning the handbars sideways to reduce the height.

i've been using screw eyes and #8 screws for many years no problem, just put a drop of chalk on the screws before installing. keeps them tight and keeps moisture out

Sorry this is so late in feedback. I went to Wally-World and bought the step anti-skid sticky backed stuff. (Can't remember the name) and on every other rib of the pass-through, and every other rib of the floor of the compartments, I stuck a 15 or 16 inch strip.

Any thing that weighs over a couple pounds stays in place. I just have to put in a few bungees to hold the broom, mop, RV brush, just the lite things.

Thought I'd pass this on.
