The rate of vaccinations is about to ramp up very significantly. I'll be pretty surprised if anyone who wants to get vaccinated hasn't been been able to do so by the end of June, maybe July at the latest.
In California we have 58 counties and 58 different vaccine roll-out programs and criteria. There are 3 counties within 20 miles of my house and one of them completed the 75+ group and moved on to younger people a month ago while the county in which I live started to give priority to people in specific zip codes and the third county is providing vaccinations for people 65 and older through the medical clinics. No one is prioritzing vaccinations based on pre-existing conditions.
My wife and I got our first shot last week and will have our second shot in 2 weeks so by first of April we should be in relatively good shape.Although it will be a relief the only change is that we might eat outdoors at restaurants starting in April.
