Want to Add Fireplace To 2007 Vectra 40FD

The 2007 Vectra 40FD we are about to purchase just came with the entertainment center and not the fireplace option. We would really like to add a fireplace. Does anyone have experience with this? We don't want to pull the existing entertainment center, but rather to modify it. My husband is very handy and used to work in a cabinet shop. Any experience with this or thoughts on how this could be done. TIA!
