Very often, Winnebago installs the power converter/charger under the fridge. The converter takes 115VAC power from shore power or the generator and converts it to 12VDC for the lights and appliances that run off 12V. The converter also charges your batteries. There is a cooling fan on the converter that comes on when the converter is working hard to supply 12VDC such as when the batteries are low. That is probably the warm air that you feel coming out those vents.

So under normal circumstances, the fan may come on for awhile to cool the converter but once the batteries get charged the fan usually will turn off. If you have bad batteries, the converter may run hard constantly and never charge the batteries.
