Thermostat issues

Just bought a 2018 micro mini 2106fbs. The thermostat seems to be messed up. It shuts itself off on its own and if you touch the outside box of the thermostat it glitches around, it turns the AC on then Furnace and will take it from 74 degrees on the screen to 60 or anywhere in between. Help?
