Remove ceiling A/C vents in 2006 Journey

How do I remove the round ceiling A/C vents in a 2006 Journey?

I recently bought this MH and one of the ceiling vents doesn't have the rotating air director--open/close thing in it. I do have the the air director. I just can't get the large round piece off of the ceiling.
I can see by looking up in the hole that there are 4 screws holding the vent to the ceiling, but there is a decorative cover piece covering the piece screwed to the ceiling.

From the center of the vent hole, I can slip the putty knife between the plastic piece screwed to the roof and the putty knife slips between the plastic piece screwed to the roof and the decorative cover piece. However the decorative piece doesn't want to pop off.

I'm afraid to put too much pressure on the decorative cover and break it.

I did search this forum, but didn't get any hits addressing the vents.

Well, I got it off w/o any damage. The decorative cap was glued on at the outer edge. It took a bit of prying with 2 putty knives and a screw driver to do some prying as well.

Got the air director installed and all is well.

While we are talking about ceiling vents, has anyone have a quick fix for loose louvers in the vents
