There is a downside, you must run each induction surface (not entire unit) on separate 15A breakers or only use one at a time to prevent overloading one breaker.
We have a countertop induction portable unit with single "burner" that serves us fine. One advantage of this is, we can move it outside to cook too.

The
Dometic website, under the features drop-down menu, states total input is 1,800W combined for both burners/elements.
