Norcold Ice Maker Water Line Heat Strip

I have a Norcold 1200 that last year gave me problems that are Ice Maker related. Now that covid is giving me a chance to work on the RV its the Ice Makers time.

My basic question is can I disconnect the 12v connections that run the heat strip for the water line. Reason I believe that it is causing some type of problem and causing the frig to shut down. I have to unplug 110 and replug to get it working again. It will work fine for a while then stop again. When I do not use the Ice Maker the frig works great.

Or could it be something else in the ice maker.
