Need advice:
On our 08 View we always have trouble with fridge at high altitudes but manage because we switch to electric when in campgrounds. At lower alt. usually OK.
We are looking to buy a 2010 Vista in two weeks that is LP only.
With Dometic fridges, I have never noticed any difference in operation at altitudes up to around 8000 ft. Above that, the outside temp was always cool enough that it didn't make any difference.
I can't think of any reason why a propane fridge should be affected by altitude.

With LPG or even a diesel Webasto burning Aqua-Hot, if at higher altitudes for any length of time they would operate more efficiently if the air fuel mixture was re-adjusted for the high altitude.
I am not sure how high you have to be though for that to occur.
The Amish usually have an all gas fridge since they never use electricity. However, I would be surprised to find one in a RV.
The manometer Is set 9/11 inches at sealeval. At higher altitudes the pressure changes. #2 sometimes A few drops of water get into the regulature,( mostly the winter problem as it freezes= no heat) Vary carefully you can remove the screw and dab the water out.. DO NOT MOVE THE INNER SCREW/PLUG. As that is the adjustment.. #3 Open the little inspection Hole on the burner tube , Then i tap it lightly with a screwdriver, As rust/ SPIDERS get in there and slow down the gas Flow; It is normaly a small thing, That the repair shop likes to see you for. When I was doing it It was allways a nice Prize for a small job..
The prior post is things That I have experianced in my 60 years of repairing and maintaining Owner and our rental units; I must state when working with gas/electricity extream care must be used. The information posted is For information only; No Leiableility;; Or spell check..
