We purchased a 2019 Sunstar 29VE earlier this year, so this is our first time dealing with cold weather. We plan to go out for a few weeks in late September into October. I was thinking that the roof fans could be covered to save some heat escaping. When I search for vent covers, I don’t seem to find the right product. Have any of you covered the fan with insulation?
They make interior "pillows" to put into the fan opening to help with both heating and cooling. I being of cheep mind and little brains took a piece of styrofoam that I had laying around the house. Cut it to size, used aluminum tape on the edges stuck it in the opening. Works great.

Great Wife!! & Max the Frisbee chasing dog.
WE often complain about Camping World but I try to srt things when I need them and we find this a good enough deal to pick them, even though my wife does sew: https://www.campingworld.com/vent-cu...E&gclsrc=aw.ds

Why no RV year, make and floorplan on MY signature as we suggest for others?
I currently DO NOT have one!
We don’t have just a roof vent. I checked the manual and it’s called a Power Roof Ventilator. It has a switch for the fan and a slider to open or close the vent. Here is a link to a similar product https://images.etrailer.com/static/i...01_19_1000.jpg
So, the nice ‘pillows’ that Camping World offers won’t work. I think I need something that has Velcro attachments or another way to attach. Any other suggestions?
