Camco Frig Rods
Do Camco refrigerator rod work for keeping items secure in the frig? I am thinking about purchasing before my next trip.

I used them in our previous 5'er and they worked well. Now with a residential refrig we use the shelf non-skid liners inside the refrig and we have not had a problem and I have had some road jarring experiences.
Maybe a combination of both?

They work well in the fridge, the a/v cabinet, medicine cabinet, lower bays ... anywhere that you need to keep things behaving as you zoom down the road! As long as there’s a left and a right spot to allow their spring to push against.

Affirmative. We all seem to agree. We also use plastic containers with flip tops, and spinners to make the space more usable, and easier to get things in and out and more organized. For example, one plastic container might have only various cheeses in it, one only sandwich meats, etc.
This is a photo of it as it stands now in our driveway, not fully packed. Note we also changed out the incandescent light bulb to a brighter LED, which aids in making things easier to see, with my aging eyes...

We also had them in our 5er and they work very good. Res fridge in coach now, keep everything in set of clear plastic "bins" that pretty well fill tbe shelves so no need for the rods.

That’s because you’re not spinning doughnuts in sideshows...

An alternative that's worked well for us in two TTs and now a MH is to zig-zag some small diameter shock cord between the shelves. It's easy to stick your hand in and pull out what you want without having to drag it over a rod and there's no chance of them popping loose. This doesn't work for the top shelf without adding some tie points but you can always use a rod there. We haven't done so and tend to store stuff there that's unlikely to shift.

I use them in cabinets and even basement storage where I can. They come in various sizes and from different manufacturers. Another thing I have used in the fridge is balloons. I blow them up to size to fill voids on shelves where things might slide around behind the rods. Using a firm pinch paper clip to close them, you can let the air out and reuse/resize.

I've used pieces of foam "pool noodles" to hold things in cabinets but they'd also work in the refrigerator. Just cut them long enough so you have to bend them to fit, Their springiness holds everything in place.
