Another Basement Heat Pump Question

My 2002 Suncruiser 35U's basement air is acting funny in heater mode. It will run but kick off before the set temperature is reached. If I switch it off and on again, it will start up, run for a few minutes and kick off.

I'm wondering if this is because I'm plugged into 20 amp service or if there's something wrong with the thermostat.

Thoughts?

From what I've gathered 20 amps is not enough to run the a/c-heat pump system.
30 amps will run one of the a/c units and 50 will run them all.

I think I may have figured it out by actually reading the manual. According to the manual, the heat pump and LPG furnace work together when the room is more than 5 degrees below the thermostat set point so that the LPG furnace will kick in to bring the temperature into range for the heat pump to take over.

If this happens three times in a row, the heat pump will shut down for two hours and the LPG furnace will take over. Since I had my LPG valve turned off, I think I was getting stuck in an endless cycle (thinking back on it, I do recall the furnace fan starting up).
