I find it very odd and interesting all of you are finding this problem at the same time. I wonder if you all live in the "freeze zone" than fell upon many states last month?

First you should check your capacitor specs; and confirm that you can or cannot run your basement AC on shore power?
Please keep us posted on what solves your problem. We would like to know if you problem is connected to the thermostat, AC relay, fan capacitor(s), or circuit board?
