2020 Minne Plus 29DDBH 2nd AC Unit. 15k too big?

Looking to replace the 15k (A/C only) unit with one that also has a heat pump. I figured the spot in the master that the optional 2nd A/C unit goes would be perfect. Both holes are 14x14. Camper is wired for 50amps so I don't see an issue with power. Thoughts?

Side note, I have the "Extreme Weather Package, but sitting out in the SC sun I have to set the A/C to 85 so it will shut off and/or maintain temp. Is this normal?

Thanks in advance.

With a single A/C unit... yeah, that's pretty normal. Especially, when parked in the sun. In hot weather you need shade, especially on the West side to defeat the afternoon sun.

You probably need "reflexics" insulated foil in the windows and to pull all the shades too.

A 2nd A/C will make a big difference but on hot, humid South Carolina summer days it will still be a challenge. Start cooling early in the day and block the sun and you'll do your best at keeping cool.

I'd probably go for a 13.5 btu second A/C in a 33' TT.

I guess i should have been more specific. I was thinking about taking the existing unit and moving it to the 2nd ac location and put the new unit with heat pump in the main location.

I used cardboard in all the windows since i have the single pane windows. Have you heard anything on the reflectix causing window cracks due to the extreme heat reflected?
