So I just purchased a 2019 Winnebago outlook. While doing the walkthrough AC blew cold while plugged up so I know it works. I was setting some stuff up and I was running the generator and needed to turn on the AC. I turned it on auto and cool bumped it low and it wouldn’t come on. What am I doing wrong? I have the generator going, the inverter on and everything else but still not turning on. I took off the thermostat cover and saw a place for two AA batteries but it didn’t look like it had connections on it. Does the AC need batteries while under generator power? TotLly new to the RV thing so I’m learning the insides and outs. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Hi Blobby23,
You need to plug the shore power cord into the generator outlet. You will find the outlet inside where the shore power cord is stored. This will complete the circuit and enable your AC appliances to run.
The inverter only powers three outlets inside your Outlook, and when you are on Shore Power AC or Generator Power AC, you would leave the inverter switched off.
Welcome to the forum.
