2014 Meridian 34B Thermostat Issues

Hi all,

We are just experiencing a t-stat problem [mod edit for clarity]. We have two zones and the RVComfort.zc stat.

We lost the bedroom unit about a month ago and are waiting for a replacement. With the breaker off to that unit (zone 2), the t-stat obviously would only recognize zone 1.

We have just discovered:

a- The zone 1 indicator is no longer displayed.
b- The temp reading will go up as it gets warmer in the coach, but will only go down to
82. (No 00 reading as others have reported).
c- We can manually set the t-stat to any temp, but again the lowest reading at shutdown
is 82. Oddly, the unit will shut down at a programmed lower temp, but still read 82.
d- All "mode" button functions operate while in cool mode except off. We cannot manually
turn the unit off, yet it will shutdown automatically when it reaches preset temps. It
also restarts when it senses the temp goes up 2 degrees.
e- The "system" button will not switch the system to heat mode; either electric or
propane.

We have not replaced any lights, fans, etc., as others indicated in previous posts and all lighting is LED from the factory. Since we fulltime, I am hesitant to turn off the battery disconnect switch, remove the t-stat or unplug shore power for fear that it will cause a failure that we will not be able to live with.

I would appreciate any suggestions or thoughts on this.

Thanks in advance!
