2006 Journey 36G, Propane Furnace

Well one of the maintenance items that is supposed to be completed is a check of the Propane Furnace in my Journey. It is located directly under the return air grille, pax side of the bedroom. Following is what I am supposed to do.

1. Check for Soot and Debris
2. Observe flame.

I can't figure out how to accomplish this, it is buried under the coach with little access. Any suggestions?

I'm guessing you have the same Suburban SH-42 furnace as we do. Once you've done it, it becomes intuitively simple as they say.

Looks like we have the same "almost there" manual. Go to YouTube and search for Suburban SH-42. There are two very clear maintenance videos there. Much clearer than my step by step -- likely.
