2004 winnie basement a/c - ems

when the a/c kicks in the amp meter shows 15 then settles to 10 amps if i set it to 1 degree cooler the tstat it turns on comp2 and amps goes to 8 amps total. the air temp is running 20-25 degrees colder than intake , multimeter says a/c comps are running 7.5 amps each so now way the amps meters are reading right. is there a way to test the engery magen ststem or to reset it or is it just time for a new one?
