Winterizing 2021 View 24V Macerater Pump?

I have winterized 5th wheels & the previous DP with both ice maker & Splendide washer. But now we have a View with a macerator pump to drain gray tank. Just need advice as how to protect this pump going into freezing weather. My first thought was to pour antifreeze into gray tank, then jog pump enough to fill with antifreeze. Anyone with a better method?

That is the method. Pour antifreeze into a sink or shower so there is some in the gray tank. Open the grey tank drain and run the macerator pump until antifreeze is coming out. Done…

On my 2024 24V the bathroom sink goes to the black tank.

I have a 2020 24V and I agree with rx4. If you winterize with a compressor, just don't forget to empty the pump filter under thr bed when you finsh winterizing. I also remove the "anode rod" (not really, but you know what I mean) from the Truma WH and leave it out while winterized since there shouldn't be any antifreeze in the WH. And, since I always winterize with a compressor, I also completely remove the undersink filter housing in winter.

By using the compressor, I only need 1/2 gallon of antifreeze to do the job. But, since we snowbird January-February, I have to winterize again after that trip. So, I use the other 1/2 gallon then.

How does your WBGO Owners manual say you should winterize?

Short of that I agree with Rx4, Fanrgs and picture confirmed by Morich.

My manual 29ve says to air blow the lines after all holding tanks have been drained, then pour a cup of Antifreeze in the p traps. I have portable macerator so it is never connected plus it is behind the chute when connected. In your case I may add two cups to get enough to make your macerator and run it out. I would not worry if there was kink, bend or elbow that holds water in a gray tank drain line because it should have the antifreeze.

Note: If you blow it out properly, if any water is in that kink, bend it should should come out.
