not sure then, may need someone who has a Suncruiser to answer. All the WH panels I have seen just have a bottom hinge and a twist ring as a latch. Could someone have added the screws in the past to fix a bad hinge ?

Not up[ on that RV, but when I think of water heaters, I think of venting for the gas, so look for vents.
Wild guess but no experience?
Looks like this would be where I would expect it to be and open the compartment door to access??

My 06 33' Suncruiser is right where the photo shows, next to the door.

My 2002 suncruiser is there as well. You open the compartment and then there is another door inside the compartment you open to access the heater. Access inside is hinged at bottom and has the twist clip in the middle top.

The water heater is located behind the panel by the exhaust vent on the side. There is a little latch to open it. However, if its an Atwood and you have to do anything other than flush the tank or minor maintenance, you are going to have to remove the tank.
I just had the electric element changed on my 10 gallon tank. They had to remove it. . .not fun. I have on 08 Suncruiser 38T. I hope that helps

water heater

You are right about having to remove two screws from underneath the door to open it. Then a second door is there that can be opened by a latch at the top.
