Water pump and it's motor separated

On my 6 year old 2015 Vista 27N's water pump, there are four phillips head machine screws, in the corners, that fasten the water pump's DC motor to the water pump.

Recently the water pump stopped working, the DC motor would run constantly but no water. I found that all four of the machine screws had worked loose and fallen out, and the DC motor shaft had slid out of the pump. One of the screws had it's end broken off and the end stub still in the metal bracket on the end of the DC motor. I assume the last one that had not fallen out and the flexing caused it to break off. I drilled out the stub and replaced with a machine screw and nylock nut. Other 3 I just put the OEM screws back with some blue locktite on them this time.

Repaired and it's working again. Something else you might want to check on your RV as it ages.
