Water leak in Itasca Solei 36G

First day of 3 wks at Normandy Farms and I woke up to a puddle of water on the floor coming out from under the fridge & washing machine area on our 36G. Not that much but it definitely got my attention. I dried it up and we went about our day. Came back to a much larger puddle that took 2 towels to soak up. Now it's got my attention. It appears to be dripping from the bottom of the fridge and only thing we can think of is that the ice tray had slid forward out of position on the drive here and maybe the ice maker was leaking somehow. I just dumped the tray and shut off the water supply to the ice maker and hoping that it's the problem. We haven't used the washing machine yet this trip so I doubt that is the problem. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Thanks guys, Mike

Well the leak is coming from the back of the Whirlpool washing machine and not any of the connections and the manual was zero help when it came to finding the water shut offs. They were in an access hole behind a painting on the bedroom wall. At least our vacation isn't ruined :-) Pretty bummed because we've only used the washer for about 5 loads last December while at Fort Benning. My wife pulled up many negative reviews on the Whirlpool stackable compact unit that's in here. Guess we'll be calling the dealer tomorrow morning...

Check the drain on the defroster tube leading to the evaporation tube that can be accessed from the outside of your MH. My rubber drain hose was blocked and water was on the floor at intermittent times. I ended up pulling our the washer/drier myself as the RV repair depot did not want to rectify the damage to the cabinet work. Washer/ drier worked fine no leaks. This year I had to refurbish the support of the fridge as it had rotten out due to the water leakage.

How well did you winterize the MH? Is there a chance that the washer had water own it and froze over the winter?

Yeah what Gormleys said. I'll bet it froze over the winter. Most people forget about draining the washer because they don't realize it always has some water in it.

Well it's definitely the washing machine because once I was able to find the water shut offs to the washer (the manual was useless) the leaking stopped and we were able to soak up most of the remaining water and now the felt area under the washer where the water was dripping on is completely dry. After reading the manual and because of the ice maker and washing machine we decided to have the RV dealer that purchased it from winterize it for us so I hope that they didn't miss something because I would've done it myself if it turns out to be the case. We've only ran about 5 loads through the washer and it was late last fall.

What's this motorhome 'winterizing' that you speak of? Ah, just kidding... the warmer winter weather here is about the only good thing in California anymore. -RT
