Water Leak

I apologize if some of you have already seen this post.

I think I have a water leak. No water in the house. No leaks in any of the storage bays. And it’s not consistent. After the thaw. I ran water used the shower, toilet and washer. No water accumulated under the coach. The mobile rv tech said he can not find a way to access the under carriage. I called Winnebago and was told, access is either through the water bay or through the one directly next to it. The sewer is on the left of the water and the generator is on the right. No signs of water in either of those.

Does anyone know what is between the underside of the floor and bottom of the coach. RV tech says it looks like the “box” is made of Styrofoam. I have re-leveled the coach. Left the water run all night last night and no signs of water this morning.

Any ideas?

I'm watching this closely, because the EXACT same thing appears to be happening to our rig.
Same m/o: no leaks evident either in cabin or bays below, but icicles below what appears to be the grey holding tank.
I've never seen this before.....

Looks as if the leak be in the piping that runs between the water heater and wet bay, on the driver side of the coach.

Should not be too hard to find. Put some water in the fresh water tank and run the pump. If it does not shut off, that's a clue the supply side is leaking. If the pump does shut off and not run again (without opening a faucet or drain), then check the tanks by filling them, starting with the hot water heater.

This happened after the coach was exposed to freezing temperatures without being winterized, yes?

Thanks Mark. Pulled the plumbing diagrams already. I full time so didn't winterize...so...yes. We had 2 weeks of bitter cold weather not normal for this area. I did what I thought were all the right things. Keep the heat up, keep the water running inside the coach and used heaters in the water and sewer bays. Cant wait to get to warmer weather.

The location of the drip was along the bottom rail of the center "box" just underneath the 2nd bay door, and directly behind the fuel tank.

I'm attaching a photo of what I have learned is an access port to the fresh water tank. The cap supposedly screws on, and is prone to leak. The access port is made of black pvc and is 2 1/2 inch outside diameter. So...I bought a 2 1/2 inch pvc cap at the local hardware and used it to cover the port. The port has a sort of recessed interior about 1/2 inch deep and is solid - meaning there is no direct access in to the tank if you stick your finger it...it is solid about 1/2 deep in to the opening.

I placed the cap on the end with a little caulk to seal the edges and all is well.

I found a thread where another owner placed a rubber cap with hose clamp over the same port because they used the port (unscrewing to remove) to sanitize the fresh water tank with chemicals.

Not sure if this is your issue or not, but thought I'd share.

Here is a pic of the access port with a 2.5" pvc cap placed on the end.
No water/no leak = pleased for $1.45 repair.

I'm a new owner of a 2007 Tour 36DL When I fill the Fresh Tank, when full it overflows. Overnight the tank will leak until empty. When connected to water source no problems. Suggestions?
