Have water heater pilot light out problem.
Can not get to restart pilot. Assistance please.

Post your coach and year along with the make/model of your water heater. Can't help you fix something when no one knows what it is.

BTW, most water heaters in the last 10 years are DSI (direct spark ignition) and do not have a pilot.

When was the last time you cleaned the burner and adjusted the igniter? Another problem can be the gas regulator, or the igniter board.


I recently found a solvable problem with my grill regulator. I think this applied to them all. My grill would not stay lit. I ordered a new regulator. While waiting for it to arrive I decided to remove the orifice from the old one. I was surprised to find the out end of the regulator was full of oil. Propane has oil in it but I never thought it would build up there. After I drained the oil out and reassembled the regulator all was working well again. I think all gas regulators are prone to this type of problem.

Hi, same thing happened to us on our "maiden voyage"!! We called the Tech Line and they thought it was air in the gas line, had us purge etc. Still did not fix. So... we stopped at Lazydays in Tampa on the way home and it was a bad board that is attached to the water tank. Lucky for us, they had the part and fixed in a matter of minutes. You have to get access to the water heater tank (at least in our 2018 Vista 32YE) that is behind a drawer under the stove. Once you can see the board, it is clear if there is a brown burnt spot around one of the connections.
