Washer and dryer use

Just got my first rig with a splendide washer and separate dryer set up. Is it safe to use the washer and dryer traveling down the road with the generator running? It does not say anything in the owners manual about this.

Some use it some don't.

We do, Nice to have the clothes clean when you arrive, add to it the fact that you will have some good water to rinse your hose if you need to dump apon arrival.

We can use the dryer on ours but on our 2016 38Q we can not open the washer door with the room retracted--- so no go for us on the Washer

Just have to carry the fresh water supply to use the washer and have the grey water capacity.

Access is our problem, else would probably use on the fly. Must have enough fresh water and grey capacity of couse, but ours are easy on water usage.

Funny story... when you use it going down the road... or anytime, really... when it begins to spin (before it balances the load itself) and you feel the vibration, don't immediately think something is wrong with the coach. When we were in California, I can't tell you how many times I immediately thought we were having an earthquake. It has been a few years now and I still do it... I put in a load and forget about it until the tremors begin. Lol. I can just imagine the conclusions I'd jump to if I were going down the road at the time.

I use the dryer all the time (I have to have gen running), but haven't tried the washer.

Some warn that Splendide says no because the weight of water in the drum while bouncing down the road causes issues.

Blang, that is funny! Even stationary, that vibration catches me off guard sometimes. I'd be grabbing lanes trying to get off the road if it happened driving, while wife yelling at me - "no - its the washer"!!

Cyicamp, good question. I have been wondering about that myself. Sounds like running the washer while driving down a rough road may not be a good idea. We boondock a lot, so we try to have all the laundry done before we leave.
