Does this look like it fits for what you have? I'm never sure on some of the older as folks do change things at times, so do a look to see if it matches before going with this idea??
If you have this shower, what I would expect to find is in the snip showing the pipes and it is a good bet that there is a very large "nut" on the bottom of the pan which should compress a very large "washer" of rubbery or fiber stuff, but over time has loosened up. Like the fitting under a sink at home?
A good tightening with a rubber strap wrench "may" get it tight or it may need to be replaced???
I recommend the strap wrench due to the reduced space to get to things. Ike this maybe:

For access, I might look at removing the vent marked in the other snip as the heat plumbing is likely to be flex duct which can be pushed out of the way for some small access---at least to get a look?
BUT----There is also a 60/40 chance I'm wrong, so before going that way, look over the idea that it may have some form of fitting or screwed down item that can be accessed from topside, as a much easier go if it works that way!!
The video on this site may give some ideas of what you would find in a home and might give some clues to a fix?
