Travato 59KL Water Access with Rear Doors Closed

Staying hooked up to city water with the rear doors closed in a Travato 59KL worked by closing the door with the hose squeezed in the lower right corner of the passenger side door, crimped the hose, not very elegant (especially if city water hookup is on driver's side). So inspired by a solution I saw on the facebook Travato mods group, with the hose passed through a hole drilled into the rear step, I made a pex connection (see photo).

So this works well and you can keep the doors closed? Ordered a 2023 KL looking to do the same thing.

Yes. I also relocated the external connection for cable to the passenger side. So I can close and lock the doors without losing external water or cable. I got the idea for this from another member, and I've seen several other postings. Each of us did it a slightly different way.

Good to know. Also i saw that someone used a flat cable. I didnt even know they made them but they said it worked well. Amazon sells them. I love the travato but wasnt too happy to find that they had moved the city water connection. Downsizing from a Coach House 271XL. Thanks for the quick response and info.
