Shower in 04 Sunrise has no hot water!

All of a sudden I found that my Shower only will dispense COLD water!

We had a problem with no water throughout the coach after refilling the tank at GNR. We tried everything I could think of(blow air through the water lines and etc. Try another pump). I gave up and had a tech at Winnebago fix it. He replaced the original water pump and said that he had reversed the input and output lines pumped, replaced the lines properly and the water worked!

I was pleased with the quick repair and tried to take a shower later only to find that I got a very cold shower!

The valve in question is the original gold colored mixer valve.

Anybody got a good idea?

The mixing valve clogs from time to time. Check to see if the water in the water heater is actually hot (very carefully) if it is, then it is the valve.

I do have hot water everywhere else in the coach as stated. I therefore think it must be something with the shower fixture!

Anyone know the Moen replacement number? Cost would be nice to know before I go there as it is quite a ways from where I live.

I think I'd be calling Winnebago or Lichtsinn parts. They can have it sent today and you'll be showerin' on Wednesday!

Possible fix for hot water issue

We had a similar problem with our Adventurer. Plenty of hot water everywhere but in the shower. We took it in for service and the tech told us he blew compressed air back through the shower hose and was able to dislodge whatever had clogged the mixing valve without having to disassemble anything. We haven't had another problem since (about a year). Keep the air pressure LOW (no more than 30 psi) or you risk creating more problems.

Inside the Moen shower valve is a cartridge . You can buy a replacement at Lowes for about $35.00. Follow instructions that come with it and replacement is simple. If installed wrong the Hot and Cold water can be transposed. When you install the knob the off position should be at the bottom. If not the cartridge is installed 180 degrees out of position

All cartridges have been the same for about 10 years

If it's a Moen, it's guaranteed for life. Just need to contact them and they'll send you new parts.
