Looks good. I don't have enough room in my wet bay for my short sewer hose. I have been bagging it and storing it in the electrical bay next door.

Sewer storage ideas

We use these short hoses that expand to 10’ each for a total of 40’ of reach. By adding the end caps, one can compress them to these short lengths that fit in a grey bus pan underneath and since they are air tight, they won’t open back up like a slinky. The caps also keep any remaining water from draining out in the storage bay.

I do the same thing! It works great and allows one to store them “wherever” and avoid having to have / build / buy a special container.

I was kinda ok with the original setup, but my DW was watching me wash and disinfect the slinky hose and stack it in the water closet and she didn't feel good about mixing the fresh water inlet and sewer hose stored in the same area.I attempted to let her know that if you take the time to do it right there shouldn't be a problem..however after 46 years of semi married bliss...I installed the 5" fence post cover under the rig and now everyone is happy...I have to admit, it really works well..Whatever happened to the old days whereby the rear bumper was the way to go?

I like the square end caps..I wanted to do that to mine but couldn't figure out how to attach it..Does yours have a hinge and clasp or is that a couple of rubber bungees holding them on..

We used 15” rubber bungees and attached them with what’s called binding posts.

Thank you. My tubes and sewer tote are held in place by a pair of brackets made of 1” steel angle and steel flat bolted to the end of the frame rails of my Adventurer 37F. The sewer tote is something rarely used but nice to have. Out of sight and out of the way until needed. I’ve got 2 quick links to drop the rear ultra guard and it then drops and extends for access.

You are going to have to be the deciding factor on that one..there are no set rules..Things like ground clearance.. exhaust flexing and heat shields need to be worked out . My thoughts on this would be to maintain a distance of at least 2 " from the exhaust pipe and ground clearance to be at or above the back axle pod..
