I just learned how to angle the connector and can get the 4 tab Rhino connector through mine. It is a tight fit but once you figure it out it all works. The looser the fit the larger the vermin that can sneak in.

Saber77, Hikerdogs, and nielv....just right. A little practice and it becomes easy.

I have been able to maneuver the sewer disconnect end of the hose through, but not the bayonet side. I just thought it would be nice to not have to drag the entire hose (15 feet) through the hole. (hence just pushing the bayonet side up through the hole)

I have a 2013 Vista 26HE. I only connect the sewer hose when I want to empty the tanks so I don't use the access hole in the bottom of the compartment. I simply open the access door and connect the sewer hose to the connector, laying the hose on the floor and the access door frame until operation completed. This way I don't have to worry about the hose and electrical chord already connected or trying to fit the sewer hose thru the same hole.

My Sunstar 26P has the very same setup

My solution was to get rid of the Bayonet style connector
Replaced with a much higher quality CAM lock connector - it's a bit smaller and easily goes through the opening

Check out these guys
Products | Drain Master

PS - The 360 vents work as they claim - totally eliminated the smells

That's a great point. I'm going to try this on my 10 trip at the end of the month. Last trip, we had ants crawling up our sewer hose. This would eliminate that issue too. Thank you.

Just another example that the designers and engineers are not RVERS. A few minutes with a dermal tool and problem solved

I just run my hose out the compartment door. It holds the door open about 4 inches however my compartment door is between two slide outs and it is barely noticeable.
