RV Faucet Replacement Question

I didn't want to take anything apart yet to find my answer: are the kitchen and bathroom sink facets the same size, (same mounting access holes) utilizing the same type of home-fittings, or are RV faucets propritory in size and fittings? I would like to replace the plastic stuff with some nicer quality products.

Thank you. -RT

it depends on the RV. I replaced the faucets in our Bounder with units from Lowes. I also replaced the bathroom sink with a new one from Lowes although the cabinet needed a little modification to fit. Everything in the Bounder is household size including the plumbing. Measure across the mounting holes in the sink and compare it to sinks at the store. If they're the same you're good to go.

Standard home fixtures should work just fine. There are 3 types of bathroom fixtures in use though so you can get under the sink and measure the center to center and then compare to off the shelve fixtures. 4 inch centerset, 8 inch widespread for a 3 hole sink and then single which can also be used with a plate on the 3 hole

Take the old faucets to lowes and match to new for compatibility, so you won't have fitment issues.
Always tell us what rv you have when asking a question. That way you will get answers from someone who has your make and model of rv, with been there and done that answers.

It worked for us. Just do a thorough check for leaks at the end of the install. Good luck.

Thanks to all for the replies. Wanted to get a heads-up before I took things apart and then discovered I might be limited to RV-specific faucets.

I have a 2005 Itasca Sunova, which I'm pretty sure was listed in my signature here for quite some time, which I now notice is gone. I have no idea how it was removed but will add it back in.

Thanks again. -RT

EDIT: This is even weirder: I checked and my signature information was still there, so I didn't change a thing or 'save' it, and now see my signature is back for this post, but not the original one.

FYI, my Winnebago UF has standard Moen faucets in the bathrooms, and kitchen. As previously said, measure distance between stems. That is the only fitment difference between brands.
