Outdoor shower to garden hose hack

I've always wanted to be able to connect a garden hose to my outdoor shower, so that I could wash the dogs or shower more than 5 feet away from the RV. The shower faucet outlet is so close to the compartment wall that there is no room for any kind of adapter there. Then it occured to me, why not remove the shower head from the end of the hose and attach an adapter there. This also eliminates a heavy garden hose from hanging on the shower faucet. Less than $3.00 in parts: a 1/2" PVC to 1/2" male threaded adapter, a 1/2" PVC to male garden hose adapter and a short piece of PVC pipe.Click image for larger version

Edit : I use a multifunction spray nozzle on the other end of the garden hose.

Cool that works

I don't have a outdoor shower in my model. I have been trying to figure out a way to use a water hose adapter on the inside but the adaptor I bought does not work because of the fixtures are not standard inside.

My next thought is to fix some type of twist clamp that would allow me to put a standard hose on the drain output of cold or hot water? I would love to be able to wash the RV with with hot / warm water and rinse with cool.

This hack should work going to the inside shower also because in most cases the inside and outside showers are the same fixtures, from the factory. Of course from the inside, you would have a garden hose going thru a window or door.

That is actually a good idea because...

I just ordered a new single lever shower faucet that comes with it own shower hose and head. The stock OEM white hose and head is still good.

I could remove the head off the white hose and make fitting that you have to connect to my std hose. I could blend hot & cold water to make it warm

To bad there is not a easier way short of opened window to get hose on the outside. I was thinking of trying to do something in my wet bay, but the shower idea will work.
