No cold water in sink with Truma

Hi,
Took our new 2021 Winnebago Era out for our first trip and overall had a great experience. Only issue we had was the fact that once we turned on the truma hot water system we had great hot water at our kitchen sink but when we moved the handle over to the cold water we just kept getting hot water. No matter where we turned it it was just hot water. Was there something we forgot to switch or turn on/off? We wanted to refill out water bottles.

Thank you

First thing to check:
If your connected fresh water hose is left in the sun for more than an hour, you will get hot water from the cold water faucet until you run it long enough to clear all the water in the hose.

There was no connected fresh water hose. This was after we had already filled up and on our trip.

Hi - From your explanation, it sounds like you are getting cold water in the wet bath correctly? Cold from the bath faucet and the shower? If so, a quick check in the kitchen could be to turn off the water pump (or shutoff the city water) and disconnect the cold water line at the kitchen faucet. With your Truma operating, put a bucket under your disconnected cold water line and turn on the water pump for a bit. If you can confirm you are getting cold water out of the cold water line then it is possible that your faucet is faulty. The ball valve in there might not be moving over to the cold side of the system. If for some strange reason you are getting hot water out of the cold water line ... that might be a manufacturing issue on your new coach.

Just a thought for a quick check; the ERA folks will likely have some good suggestions in a bit.

Cheers,

There are a number of things that are missing to do a good job of sorting the question.

First is which 2021 Era you have since there are three different models and each is likely to have some differences in the layout of plumbing.

Second would be to question what you find at other faucets. Do all faucets give only hot water or is it isolated to a single faucet?

With current info, about all I can offer are these links to the drawings of plumbing and parts.
Plumbing here:

Parts which is an interactive system which allows for much better viewing from lots of angles:

Quick check, if you have a shower that has a shut off button on the shower head itself, make sure it is off and the water is turned off. Also check any outside showers. Good luck.
