Kitchen drain flex hose binding

2004 Vectra 40KD

The flex hose on the kitchen drain between the Coach and slide is binding and has pulled the hard line from it's anchors to the slide and the hinged cover panel is hanging up.

Is this just due to the age of the flex line making it not so flexible?

Is there a better way plumb this?

I'm open to suggestions.
