Hot water switch

Does the hot water switch light up when the electic heater is ON? (2005 Adventurer/Suncruiser 38R)

Gator,
I previously owned an 05 Suncruiser. Yes, the hot water switch would light BUT I always thought it was funny because "why is the light needed?" It was in the on position, so why do you need the light? In fact, by year two the red light on the switch failed but the hot water was still hot. The red light is just a 12 volt light that tells you the switch in in the on position. The switch still works if the red light is burnt out. This help?

Yep, and the bulb can't be replaced but the entire assembly is only about $15. And, as mentioned, the switch on mine worked fine even after the bulb burned out but I wanted to have the light so I REALLY knew when it was on because we sometimes have to live on limited AC.

Yes it should be lit, but mine has burned out three or four times now. On mine I have to replace the entire switch as the light is built into the switch.

Thanks everyone
My switch is working fine, so my bulb is burned out. I can live with that.
Thanks again

Anybody have the part number to replace the switch when it doesn't light up anymore? Our heater still works but the lighted switch just gave up this past weekend.

Same problem here, when at home, the moho is plugged in, so I wanted the light to remind me if I didn't turn off the htr. I bought a small red LED from Oreilly Auto Parts $7.00, and drilled the 1/2" hole right under the switch and pushed the light in and just attached the leads to the switch leads. Works great.
