Fresh water tank “hack”

Ok, I don’t know if it’s a hack or not but that sounded more with it than a “mod.”

My fresh tank is completely visible from a basement compartment above my LP tank. For years I’ve looked at it to get a better idea of how much water we had in the tank. I mean full, 2/3rds and 1/3rd don’t really tell you much.

So I bought a digital water flow gauge and measured the water going into the tank and marked the sides of the tank at 10 gal increments.

Works great. I may see if I can do the same for the other tanks.

PS. Please excuse the sloppy writing and markings on the tank.

Did it to mine about a year ago with the new flow meter. Works great and and the markings help a lot. Glad you posted this

Hah! I'll have to copy your "hack". My level sensors appear to be installed by a drunk. The full sensor is at the very top as it should be, the 2/3 and 1/3 and at exactly the same height from the bottom.
Thanks for the tip!
