fresh water fill plug?

I have a new to me 2018 24J. Should there be a plug in the fill hole to keep water from sloshing out? I loose water every time I make a turn. Also I have water marks all over the paint. How do you clean hard water stains?

Sounds like you are talking about the gravity fill port on the side of the RV. Typically there is a foam disk that is glued to the cover/door for that port. The disk could be missing or the door doesn't close tight enough. Some are adjustable and some are not. Vinegar works great to remove hard water deposits.

Thank you. I must be missing the foam disc. I assume you can not actually put a plug in it because it would restrict the flow? I'll try to adjust it.

Some of the gravity fill cover flaps have a "slot" on the door where a foam type "plug is often glued on, so that when the door closes, the foam is pressed against the opening to stopper any water slopping out. Seems the adhesive is prone to failing after some times and then the foam is lost, so look for some type of grooves, etc. where you might cut and fit a homemade item? Likely not a high tech item that requires searching and finding the ready made? Maybe a scrap of mouse pad!!

I also recommend you do a search on these forums for fresh water leaks on the View. I did a quick search and found a number of threads but many of those were about water leaking out of the tank overflow tube while driving which may not be related to your problem.

I have your model coach (2018 24J). . There is no “plug” to keep the water from sloshing out of the gravity fill. I’ve seen people glue a foam disc on the cap to reduce it. I carry a towel on my walk around and call it done )
